Last week, we participated in Planetiers World Gathering  2022. Not only were we able to see others’ great contributions to the event, but we also added ours. We were panellists in sessions on topics such as Sustainable Mobility and Sustainable Finance. 

What about Sustainable Mobility? 

In an energy transition age, moving towards more sustainable mobility is not a bed of roses. 

There are significant challenges that need to be addressed in the next 8 years so the uptake of sustainable mobility can become a reality. If the technology, the fiscal framework, and the grids do not answer the real customers’ struggles, diesel will continue to be used to deliver their products. Filipe addressed these main challenges and what needs to be done to overcome them in a realistic and achievable way.  

And Sustainable Finance? 

Ana participated in a forum moderated by Carlos Eduardo Martins about Sustainable Finance. In this forum, it was highlighted how financing tools can be linked with ESG strategies and reporting and what are the available tools for sustainable finance. Ana’s presentation was about Voluntary Carbon Market and the way it can help drive sustainable finance, its risks and how to mitigate them, making this approach a viable option.
